Introduction: Communication skills are of high importance nowadays. Due to their occupational position,nurses need appropriate and sufficient skills to communicate with their colleagues and patients in order toachieve peace and satisfaction. The present study aimed to determine the effect of communication skillstraining on the overall amount of general health (and its dimensions) in nurses of Kashani Hospital,Isfahan, Iran.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental research in which the statistical sample included all the nursesemployed by Kashani Hospital in 2009 (158 male and female nurses in 12 wards). By applying the relativecategorical random sampling method, 20 participants were assigned to the experimental group and the rest(n = 20) were assigned to the control group. Eight sessions of communication skills training were held forthe experimental group. The standard General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) was used to measure andevaluate the general health in pre-intervention and post-intervention phases. To determine the reliability ofeach questionnaire, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was utilized which provided us with 0.78. Analysis ofthe data took place on two levels of descriptive statistics (average and standard deviation) and inferentialstatistics i.e. analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).Results: Communication skills training increased the general health by 73% and decreases depression,anxiety, and social and physical dysfunction by 75%, 72%, 72%, 34%, respectively (P < 0.01).Conclusion: Designing and applying standard communication skills training sessions, tied with the helpof specialized lecturers, will have a significant effect on human communication, relations, organizationalcitizenship behavior, and general health of the staff.

Introduction: An organization attains the missions and targets when it could satisfy its client. Considering this fact, the current research carried out to investigate the relationship among emotional intelligence, personality characteristics and demographic variables of the personnel of Isfahan Medical University with client satisfaction with moderating role of Perceived organizational justice. Methods: The method of the study is basically descriptive-correlation. The tool used to collect the data was included the NEO personality questionnaire, Servqual questionnaire, organizational justice questionnaire, emotional intelligence questionnaire, and demographic characteristics questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaires were confirmed by the professionals and the reliability of them were examined using Cronbach’s Alpha in which for the NEO personality questionnaire was found between 68 percent to 83 percent, for Servqual questionnaire, 88 percent, for organizational justice questionnaire, 91 percent and for the emotional intelligence questionnaire, 86 percent was obtained. The research was done in Isfahan Medical University in the year of 2012. The descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was done using SPSS. Results: The analysis of the data revealed that there was a significant relationship between clients' satisfaction with emotional intelligence, personality characteristics and perceived organizational justice (R=0/870, R2=0.757). Also, no significant correlation was found between demographic characteristics of the personnel with clients' satisfaction with moderating role of perceived organizational justice (Pvalue<0/05). Conclusion: According to the impact of perceived organizational justice on the relationship between emotional intelligence and personality of the personnel, with client satisfaction, focusing on ndividual issues is important to improving client satisfaction. Introduction: It is necessary for every organization to periodically study its structure. The aim ofthis study was to identify the organizational structures of libraries of university of medicalsciences in Iran based on Stephen Robbins model.Methods: This was a descriptive survey. The study population included all the central librarymanagers of medical university libraries in Iran in 2010-2011 (n = 44). Fifteen managers wereselected through simple random sampling method. Data were collected using the standardtranslated questionnaire of Robbins. The validity of this scale has been confirmed using sevenlibrary and management professionals and specialists. Its reliability was obtained 87% usingCronbach’s alpha coefficient. Data were analyzed by SPSS software and descriptive statistics.Results: Libraries in universities of medical sciences in Iran lack efficient structures and are notin an acceptable rate, i.e. the complexity was less than the average level, and the formalizationand centralization were greater than the standard level.Conclusion: The study results suggested that the organizational structures of universities ofmedical sciences in Iran are not efficient. Dimensions of the given structures need to be revised.
